Zoom! In-Office Whitening

How does the Zoom! In-Office Whitening System Work?

  • First, our dentist performs a comprehensive exam, which highlights any dental problems that need to be addressed before you can undergo a whitening treatment. This ensures that the Zoom whitening procedure works as effectively as possible and prevents any future damage to the teeth. If no dental problems are found, then our dentist performs a teeth cleaning procedure, which primes the teeth for the application of the whitening gel

  • Next, our dentist inserts spacers to prevent the cheeks or lips from touching your teeth so that the gel's whitening agent doesn't irritate your mouth's softer tissues

  • Then the teeth whitening gel is applied to the teeth. This gel contains a hydrogen peroxide solution that serves as the active whitening ingredient

  • After the gel has been applied, our dentist focuses an ultraviolet light on the teeth. This light acts as a catalyst and produces oxygen through a chemical reaction within the gel. This oxygen permeates the upper layer of the teeth and bleaches them from within. The oxygen works to remove the stains both on top of and within the enamel

  • Finally, our dentist cleans away the Zoom! whitening gel
